Mexican Rush: Mexico’s Claim to Cannabis Fame

Mexican Rush is a heritage strain with deep roots in a legendary Mexican landrace sativa. Amid the contemporary craze for candy and dessert strains, Mexican Rush is drawing extra attention from growers seeking classic aromas and well-balanced effects.

Mexican Rush Cannabis Seeds: Age-Old Mexican Sativa Genetics

Mexican Rush originates from Mexico’s Pacific Coast, particularly the mountainous regions surrounding the city of Acapulco, known as the Sierra Madre del Sur. In response to the area’s year-round hot and tropical climate, Mexican Rush plants exhibit unique traits that set them apart from other strains.

Dedicated to preserving a true Mexican landrace, our breeders meticulously hunted through a variety of native Mexican sativas to select and stabilise this classic lineage, allowing growers everywhere to enjoy its exceptional flavours and outstanding high.

Effect and Flavour of Mexican Rush Strain

Mexican Rush produces long, wispy flowers that tend to take on an eye-catching golden sheen when dried and cured, adding to their visual appeal. Crack open your stash jars and Mexican Rush will delight you with her complex aroma of fruit and pine with earthy undertones and a honey-like sweetness. After savouring her full-bodied flavour, Mexican Rush will immediately get to work soothing your body and clearing your mind of unnecessary noise. Packing around 22% THC and a rich mix of caryophyllene, myrcene, and limonene, Mexican Rush combines a soothing physical buzz with clear-headed mental effects, making for a great daytime strain.

Growing Mexican Rush Seeds

As is to be expected given her Mexican sativa heritage, Mexican Rush thrives in large outdoor spaces. This is undoubtedly the perfect strain for outdoor growers living in areas with long, hot, and humid summers. Mexican Rush plants love to stretch and, given the space, can develop majestic towering colas consisting of long flower clusters. But thanks to the hard work of our breeders, Mexican Rush by RQS also performs very well indoors. While outdoor plants can grow up to 200cm tall, indoor plants can be kept at more manageable heights of 80–130cm. In the latter setting, this sativa queen needs 9–11 weeks to flower and produces up to 550–600g/m². Outdoors, expect your Mexican Rush plants to be harvest-ready by mid-October and yield up to 700g/plant.
