Monitor pH and temperature directly within the growing medium
The Aqua Master Tools S300 Pro3 Substrate pH & Temp Meter measures pH and temperature directly in soft, sufficiently moist growing media as well as in liquids. It is particularly useful for growers who want to check conditions around the root zone rather than relying solely on irrigation water or runoff measurements. The separate electrode is connected to the handheld meter by a 120 cm cable, giving you plenty of flexibility when taking measurements in pots and growing containers.
Direct measurements within moist growing media
The S300 Pro3 electrode can be inserted directly into a soft, thoroughly moistened substrate. The meter covers a pH range of 0.00–14.00 and a temperature range of 0–50 °C. Automatic temperature compensation accounts for temperature during pH measurement, while the probe can also be used for measurements in liquids. Automatic calibration with a useful reminder
The S300 Pro3 supports automatic two-point calibration at pH 4.0 and 7.0. Once calibration has been completed successfully, an indicator appears on the display. This disappears after 30 days, providing a straightforward reminder that recalibration is due. Suitable pH 4 buffer solution and pH 7 buffer solution are available separately. The pH resolution can be set to either 0.01 or 0.1 pH.
Replaceable electrode and durable construction
The pH electrode connects via a BNC connector and can be replaced when required, helping to extend the useful life of the meter. The handheld unit is rated to IP65, while the electrode itself is waterproof to IP67. A battery indicator shows the battery status, and the meter automatically switches off after eight minutes. Before first use, the manufacturer recommends soaking the electrode in tap water for at least twelve hours. For storage, the electrode should be kept upright with KCl solution inside its protective cap.
