The Sentera STR 1.5 A 5-step transformer (pre-wired) is a manual speed controller for single-phase, voltage-controllable AC motors. It is particularly useful for extractor fans, allowing you to match ventilation performance to current requirements using five fixed settings. This Growmart version comes with the mains cable and power strip already connected, removing the need to wire these components to the controller yourself.

Five fixed settings for smooth motor operation

The Sentera STR adjusts motor speed by changing the output voltage through an autotransformer. Five speed settings can be selected using the rotary switch, along with a separate OFF position. Transformer control provides a sinusoidal output voltage, helping compatible motors operate smoothly and quietly. This makes it a useful alternative where the additional motor buzz sometimes associated with simple electronic dimmers is undesirable.

Pre-wired for straightforward installation

The mains lead and power strip are already connected on this version, so the controller does not need to be wired for standard plug-in use before installation.
