The Upsetter

Beskrivelse

The Upsetter Lee “Scratch” Perry by Humboldt Seed Company

The Upsetter Lee “Scratch” Perry is one of the few Humboldt Seed Company lines where the cultural reference is more than a label. The Lee Scratch Perry connection matters, but the cultivar is more than music romance. It becomes strongest where tropical sativa direction, strong mold resistance and community context meet.

The genetic frame of Squirt x Tangie x Humboldt Dream explains the bright side of the line. Squirt brings grapefruit and terpene stability from the Mega Hunt background, Tangie pushes orange and citrus sharpness forward, while Humboldt Dream adds more body and an HSC field base underneath.

The official product page places The Upsetter in a sativa leaning and highly mold resistant lane. That is the stronger plant point: not a heavy OG line, not a plain dessert fruit cultivar, but a tropical hybrid for conditions where humidity and flower cleanliness need to be taken seriously.

At 55 to 60 days of flowering, the cultivar stays compact within a photoperiod frame. Outdoors, the usual harvest window falls approximately between September 20 and October 5. That makes The Upsetter more than a cultural story. It also has a clear season and a resilient plant profile.

Mango and guava give the line its tropical direction, while the washer note of up to 3 percent shows that resin work is also part of the picture. A share of proceeds supports a community project connected to Lee Scratch Perry’s legacy. The Upsetter therefore keeps its cultural edge, but its base remains Squirt, Tangie, Humboldt Dream and strong mold resistance.
