Desfran

Beskrivelse

Desfrán by Dutch Passion

Desfrán is not a variety to be run small or treated as an afterthought. This line lives through height, stretch and a very open sativa body that shows early on that it wants space. That is also where much of its appeal sits. It does not feel polished or smoothed into a modern hybrid shape, but like a variety with pull, character and very clear roots.

The Destroyer x Destroyer cross carries forward a South American line in which Mexican Oaxaca, Colombian Punto Rojo and Meao all meet. That is not just background written on paper. You can see in the plant that it is aiming at a very different structure from compact standard hybrids. Plenty of air in the frame, long branches and strong vertical movement give it a clear direction from an early stage.

In flower, Desfrán stretches hard and can take over the available space quickly. For that reason, it does not work through short compact density, but through length, expansion and then surprisingly firm flowers later on. The fact that the buds turn out comparatively compact for a pure sativa is one of the things that makes this line so distinctive.

The aroma also avoids a routine haze track. Pear, green apple, a little grape, some melon and an almost candy like sweetness give it a fruit profile that stands clearly apart from the usual citrus haze or darker sativa expressions. On top of that comes plenty of resin, which adds even more weight to the final picture.

Desfrán therefore comes across as a tall reaching, resin rich Dutch Passion sativa in which South American line power, heavy stretch and an unusually fruity profile define the whole impression.
