Critical Sour by Female Seeds

Critical Sour by Female Seeds is a feminized line that works more through early outdoor ripening and robust flower formation than through simple aroma language. The strain is based on (Maroc x Grapefruit) x (Auto NL x Auto NL x Auto Critical), combining an early mother line with faster Critical and Northern Light logic in the background.

The plant body usually stays in a medium range indoors, but it can build a fair amount of volume depending on how it is handled. At around 80 to 140 cm inside, Critical Sour needs enough space in the upper third and should not be shaped too late. The internodes can sit a little wider, which helps keep air in the frame and makes the flower zones easier to read.

Female Seeds lists a flowering time of around 8 to 9 weeks. Outdoors, the strain becomes especially relevant because of its early window, as it can finish around the beginning of September or early autumn depending on the region. That is the practical core of this line: not extremely small, but early and capable.

The flowers are described as dense, resinous and productive, but they do not necessarily form into heavy closed blocks. With Critical Sour, the more open flower structure is useful, as it allows better airflow and fits an outdoor line that should ripen well through less predictable late season conditions.

The profile combines fruit, earth, spice and a sour grapefruit direction. This places Critical Sour between the early Maroc side and the stronger Critical influence. For classification, the important points are early ripening, a medium to large plant frame and a clear sour fruit line.
