Back Draft Shutter 100–315 mm for controlled one-way airflow

The Back Draft Shutter 100–315 mm prevents air from flowing backwards through your ventilation duct when airflow stops or drops. Designed for round ducting, it is particularly useful in intake and extraction systems for grow tents and other ventilation installations. A choice of diameters allows it to be matched to common duct sizes.

Spring-loaded flaps close when airflow stops

Inside the shutter is a split, spring-loaded flap mechanism. During operation, the moving air opens the flaps in the intended direction. When the airflow stops, the spring mechanism closes them again. This restricts unwanted reverse airflow through the ductwork and helps reduce uncontrolled air exchange. A foam seal around the closing surfaces also helps dampen operating noise when the shutter closes.

Durable construction for round ventilation ducts

The housing is made from galvanised sheet steel and designed for installation in round ventilation systems. Its spring-assisted mechanism also allows the shutter to be used in vertical duct arrangements, giving you flexibility when planning an intake or extraction route.
