Terra Aquatica pH-Down prášek

Popis

Terra Aquatica pH-Down Powder for controlled reduction of nutrient solution pH

Terra Aquatica pH-Down Powder is a concentrated pH reducer for water and nutrient solutions used with hydroponics, coco and soil. The dry product develops its acidic action only after being mixed with water, making it a practical alternative to liquid pH regulators. It is suitable for growers who want to adjust nutrient solution pH accurately and verify the result with a suitable meter.

Controlled adjustment of nutrient solution pH

Maintaining a suitable pH helps keep dissolved nutrients available to plants. Terra Aquatica recommends starting with approximately 1 g of pH-Down Powder per 5–6 litres of water or nutrient solution. Mix thoroughly, test the pH again and make further adjustments gradually if required. Suitable equipment for checking your solution is available in the pH and EC meters range. Other products for raising or lowering pH can be found under pH correction.

Dry format for convenient storage and transport

According to Terra Aquatica, the powder is chemically inactive in its dry supplied form and develops its acidic effect once dissolved in water. This makes the product convenient to store and transport. Always dissolve it thoroughly before taking another reading. The required amount can vary with water quality and starting pH, so measurements should guide subsequent adjustments rather than relying solely on a fixed dose.

Additional uses for system maintenance

In addition to pH adjustment, pH-Down Powder can be used for cleaning irrigation lines and growing systems. Terra Aquatica specifies 1 g per litre of water for this purpose; the solution is left to circulate overnight before the system is rinsed thoroughly with clean water. For use as a foliar cleaner, the manufacturer specifies 1 g per 10 litres of water. The product also supplies nitrates and phosphates. You can find further products from the manufacturer in the Terra Aquatica range. Suitable gloves and eye protection should be worn during handling, and the manufacturer’s safety instructions should be followed.
