Karel’s Herer Haze reg. – sativa-dominant hybrid from Jack Herer and Karel’s Haze

Karel’s reg. Herer Haze is a regular seed line developed by Super Sativa Seed Club through the combination of the classic Jack Herer sativa and the breeder’s own Karel’s Haze. According to the breeder, this cross was one of those combinations that felt genetically coherent from the very beginning.

The original Jack Herer sativa has been part of the SSSC mother plant collection for an extended period. It is described as having an exceptionally intense citrus-forward sativa terpene profile, combined with an open flower structure and a clearly sativa-typical growth pattern with strong trichome coverage. One limitation of the Jack Herer mother, however, was its long flowering time of around 13 to 14 weeks, which prompted further hybridisation.

By crossing Jack Herer with the best-selling Karel’s Haze, the flowering time of the resulting Karel’s Herer Haze was reduced to approximately 10 to 11 weeks. This made the line more accessible while preserving the defining characteristics of both parents. The plants are reported to express a clear sativa dominance, with an estimated sativa content of around 75%.

Flower structure and genetic profile

Karel’s Herer Haze develops medium to tall plants with large, well-formed flowers. The terpene profile is described as strongly citrus-driven, accompanied by gas and fuel-like elements. This creates an aromatic combination of hazy citrus fruit and pungent undertones, resulting in a layered flavour profile. These characteristics represent genetic tendencies and may vary between individual plants.

The line is intended for collectors and breeding-focused growers interested in studying a sativa-dominant hybrid that combines classic haze genetics with improved flowering efficiency.
