Guanokalong Pellets – bat guano for longer-term substrate feeding
Guanokalong Pellets provide an organic, phosphorus-rich addition to your plants’ feeding programme. Made from pressed bat guano, they support root development and flowering in soil and coco coir substrates. Suitable for beginners tending their first pots and experienced growers managing larger beds, this solid fertiliser can be mixed into the growing medium or applied later as a top-dressing, indoors and outdoors.
Gradual nutrient release rather than an immediate feed
The pellets release their nutrients slowly. They begin working later than Guanokalong Powder, the powdered alternative, typically from the second or third week. Include them early in your feeding plan rather than relying on an immediate effect. Outdoors, their pressed form also makes them less likely to blow away during application than powder.
The NPK figure of 1-10-1 represents a guaranteed minimum analysis. As this is a natural product, actual nutrient levels can vary between batches.
Application rates for pots and garden beds
For container growing, mix 100 g of pellets into 15 litres of soil before planting. For outdoor beds, apply 1 kg per 5–10 m² and work the pellets thoroughly into the soil.
For subsequent feeding, spread the pellets over the soil surface as needed. Rake them into garden beds; when top-dressing pots, water thoroughly after application. Take account of existing fertiliser in the growing medium and your plants’ requirements.
Supplement nitrogen and potassium where needed
Guanokalong Pellets are not a complete standalone fertiliser. Additional nitrogen may be required during vegetative growth, for example from Guanokalong Grow for vegetative feeding. During flowering, Guanokalong Palm Tree Ash as a potassium source is an option for supplementary potassium. Adjust any additional fertilisers to suit your overall nutrient programme.
