Gorilla Girl by Sweet Seeds
Gorilla Girl does not build its identity around sweetness or surface level modern appeal. Its center lies in pressure, resin, and a clearly American styled hybrid core. The cultivar combines GG4 with the Thin Mint phenotype of Girl Scout Cookies, producing not a soft dessert type, but a strong line with substantial plant mass, heavy flower formation, and a sharply defined aromatic profile.
In growth, it develops a vigorous, fairly large frame with long flexible side branches and enough upward push to build the canopy early. The plant does not read as squat. It feels supportive and open enough to distribute larger flowers cleanly. That combination of reach and stability gives the cultivar more working surface through the structure without letting it become coarse or loose.
Sweet Seeds lists a genetic distribution of 60 percent sativa and 40 percent indica. Flowering takes around nine weeks. The breeder reports 400 to 550 g per m² indoors and 350 to 600 g per plant outdoors. THC reaches 31 percent, while CBD is approximately 0.1 percent. The compact flowers develop exceptionally dense trichome coverage.
The aroma opens on a dry fresh line of cypress and wood. Earth and citrus sit behind it and widen the profile without dissolving the darker base. That combination keeps Gorilla Girl away from simple Cookies stereotypes. The scent stays marked, slightly sharp in contour, and much less creamy than many modern US named lines.
The variety shows its signature most clearly where long lateral structure, compact resin rich flowers, and that woody fresh aromatic frame come together. Some plants pull the citrus side a little brighter, while others remain drier and more cypress led. Even so, the final impression stays stable: a highly productive US hybrid with heavy resin, an open frame, and a firm mature contour.
Gorilla Girl received first place in the Indoor category at Festival 1422 in Argentina in 2018. In 2019, it earned first place for the highest THC content at 31.7 percent at the Sannabis Cup in Johannesburg. The strain later received third place in the Solvent Extractions category at the II Copa Seshat in Medellín in 2022.
