Don Carlos does not need the old effect story to carry weight. The cultivar comes from a real collaboration with reggae artist Don Carlos, but the stronger point is the plant material itself: dark berry, Sour Diesel edge, large plants and that frosty green Humboldt surface with purple specks.

Inside the line sit Blackberry OG x Humboldt Sour Diesel. Blackberry OG brings darker fruit and depth, while Humboldt Sour Diesel pulls sourness, pine and a drier diesel nerve through the frame. The result is not a softened hybrid shape. It is a clear Sour Blackberry OG line with field character.

The selection was not built from a single lucky cross. Humboldt Seed Company tested more than 70 combinations before settling on Don Carlos. That matters here because the name is backed by actual sorting work, large plant structure and enough breeding pressure to make the cultivar stand beyond the collaboration story.

At 55 days of flowering, Don Carlos stays tight on the calendar for a larger indica leaning plant. The outdoor window lands around September 25 through October 10. Sturdy stalks, dense golf ball style flowers and a fast shift into bloom give the line weight without pushing it into a loose late season form.

The smell stays sour, pine driven and dark berry forward, with diesel underneath instead of polished sweetness. The listed 20 to 24 percent THC remains cultivar data only.
