Description
Chrome-plated scalpel holder for precise work on plant cuttings
The chrome-plated scalpel holder is a reusable handle for compatible scalpel blades and is designed for precise cutting work during plant propagation. When preparing cuttings, a sharp scalpel can help create a clean, controlled cut. This product is supplied as the holder only; scalpel blades are not included.
Reusable holder for replaceable blades
The chrome-plated handle features a dedicated fitting for suitable replaceable scalpel blades. Blades can be inserted into the holder and exchanged when required. This allows the handle to be reused while blunt or contaminated blades can be replaced separately.
Controlled cutting when preparing cuttings
Clean cutting surfaces are useful when preparing plant cuttings, as unnecessary crushing of the plant tissue should be avoided. The scalpel holder provides controlled handling for accurate trimming and complements other propagation equipment used for young plants. Suitable replacement blades should be obtained separately before use.
Clean and careful handling
Keep the holder and blade clean when working with plant material and follow appropriate hygiene practices between plants where necessary. Take particular care when fitting, replacing or using a scalpel blade, as the blades are extremely sharp. Store the holder and any fitted blades out of reach of children.
