Gelato #45 from Barney’s Farm, an elite hybrid for 2022
Sunset Sherbet is a cross between Girl Scout Cookies and Pink Panties, highly reputed strains in the cannabis field. Its flowers stand out, with a peculiar flavour of sorbet and berries, citric but at the same time earthy, ideal for summer. Its euphoric effect that leads to physical relaxation is very enjoyable.
The other parent, Thin Mint Girl Scout Cookies, is mostly indica but with traces of sativa. It is the seed version of a clone that has gone around the world with the same name, since its powerful sweet mint flavor and heavy load of trichomes is within the reach of very few varieties.
Gelato #45, great results with easy cultivation
The cultivation of Gelato #45 is very easy and rewarding and excellent results can be expected making this cross highly suitable for beginners. This is due to the huge vigour that it shows in its vegetative phase, together with great robustness and resistance to typical drawbacks such as pests or temperature changes.
Indoors it is a medium sized plant, with medium internodal separation. It will be ready in just 60-70 days, and in the best conditions you can get a yield of up to 650-700 g/m2.
Outdoors it increases in size reaching 200 cm, enough to produce 1,500-2,000g per plant. Harvest time is in October.
The result of growing Gelato #45 is an abundance of large, dense flowers with shades of purple, red and orange that are hidden under a thick layer of resin. The aroma is sweet, mint-chocolate ice cream and sweet berries, which when consumed leads to a powerful pine, earthy and citrus flavour.
The effect is very powerful due to its very high THC content, but the hybrid genetics makes it neither very narcotic nor very euphoric. It is a balanced mix that begins with an energising and creative high that little by little progresses to a very satisfying body calm.
Cannabis seeds are sold for collection and genetic preservation. Check the law in your country before germinating them.
