Black Russian

Description

Black Russian by Delicious Seeds

Black Domina x White Russian is the official lineage of this 80% indica-dominant strain. A compact, well-branched plant frame and short flowering window define its structure, while the photoperiod format allows several productive side branches to develop around the central growth.

In structural terms, it stays manageable without looking small or weak. The frame is usually described as compact, but the variety is also noted for branching well. That creates a plant that does not rely only on a single dominant top and can build several productive axes instead. For a strongly indica leaning feminized line, that balance between control and branching is one of its more useful traits.

The flowering window is on the shorter side. It usually takes 50 to 55 days indoors, with outdoor harvest around mid September. Yields are around 450 grams per square meter indoors and up to 900 grams per plant outdoors. Numbers like that always depend on setup and climate, but they still show clearly that Black Russian is not built only around compactness. It is also positioned for a solid level of output.

The profile combines sweet fruit, citrus and a light earthy base. It is not simple sweetness alone, but a fruit led line with a darker lower register. That keeps the aromatic direction soft enough without becoming vague, and it fits better with the denser genetic base formed by Black Domina and White Russian.

Black Russian therefore works as a feminized Delicious line for growers and collectors looking for a compact to medium sized plant with a short flowering window, a good branching pattern and a sweet dark fruit profile. Its value comes from the calm combination of a dense body, useful yield potential and a clearly readable old school indica signature.
