Wedding Cake by Barney’s Farm

Wedding Cake does not make its impression through length, but through weight in flower. The line from Cherry Pie, Girl Scout Cookies, and OG Kush creates a plant that stays compact to medium in size while building so much resin and density that it feels far heavier than the frame first suggests.

The growth stays controlled and strong. Indoors, the strain usually remains around the one metre range, while outdoors it can become much larger without losing the core idea of the line. What matters here is less the height itself and more the way the plant carries: firm branches, a compact build, and a flower set that works through pressure rather than airiness.

A window of around 55 to 60 days of flowering suits this variety well. The run stays tight, yet the plant still has enough room to build resin, density, and colour properly. Indoor yields reach a level that makes it clear Wedding Cake is not built around looks alone, but around real substance as well.

Towards the finish, the flowers become particularly prominent. Thick, resin-rich buds form along the branches, with subtle pink and purple tones appearing during flowering. The final expression relies on density, trichome coverage and a clear contrast of colour.

On the profile side, sweet sour, earthy, and vanilla tones lead from the front, with skunky nuances sitting further back. That keeps the strain from turning too soft or purely dessert like. Because of that, Wedding Cake remains easy to read as a strong Barney’s hybrid whose character comes from density, resin, and a firm Kush leaning base.
