Pineapple Upside Down Cake is one of those earlier Humboldt Seed Company cultivars where the name actually follows the selection work. The line came out of a large 2017 pheno hunt in Humboldt County and was shaped around more than fruit alone: pineapple, cream, dough and short timing all had to line up.

Cookie Monster x Pineapple Trainwreck keeps the cultivar between two very different poles. Pineapple Trainwreck brings brighter sativa movement, tropical bite and a fast field window. Cookie Monster adds density, dough body and a firmer flower side without pushing the line into heavy Kush territory.

The current HSC version is listed as an F4. Strong lateral branches support compact flowers while retaining the sativa-led movement of Pineapple Trainwreck, giving the line structure without losing its bright, early-finishing character.

With a flowering time of 45 days, Pineapple Upside Down Cake is one of Humboldt Seed Company’s faster photoperiod cultivars. Outdoors, its harvest window runs from September 15 to October 1, which is notably early for a 60 percent sativa line.

Pineapple, creamy vanilla frosting and a lightly tangy crème brûlée note sit over the firmer Cookie Monster foundation. Strong lateral branches, compact flowers and 22 to 26 percent THC define this early-finishing F4 dessert line.
