Description
The RootSense Kit extends your GrowBase Pro WiFi climate controller with precise measurement inside the substrate. The sensor records volumetric water content (VWC), pore-water conductivity (pwEC) and substrate temperature, so you can follow changes in the root zone based on real readings – a basis for crop steering and judging drybacks and EC trends.
High-frequency dielectric measurement captures water content largely independently of EC and salt fluctuations. Irrigation can be time-controlled or VWC-controlled, and a relay output drives one irrigation zone via valve or pump.
